Can we avoid education?

I wanted to open with Sezen Aksu’s Kahpe Kader song. In this song, she said that although the fate of education continues, it may be that people do not get any news from themselves. So, can a person not get any news from herself, or do circumstances make her this way? Because fate offers us unequal options in the face of education. While some of us drop out of education due to financial difficulties, it is a fact that wealthy academics and business people who do not give up also struggle with financial problems. I don’t know whether we have evolved or fallen, but we encounter exciting moments in our actions where we can educate ourselves personally or need education. So, can a person escape education, whether rich or poor?

Why am I going to school?

Those who dropped out of school during education, those who belittled education, those who skipped class, those who dropped out of school, so and so, successful or unsuccessful, superior medalists, coolly dressed students, problem students, who came and who passed through the school desks. But they were all subject to prejudice. When the teacher decides to lecture for 40 minutes, will the student really be able to devote 40 minutes to learning? Let’s discuss these today.

Don’t be so sure.

One of the most common mistakes in education is that society directs students. Although the education model we receive at a young age may seem like raising individuals who are harmless to society, it is a severe opportunity for people to realize the dreams they had when they were children and to socialize with their friends. I remember my primary school years and there were days when I tried not to go to school. However, on a few days when I was sick and didn’t go to school, I was bored because I couldn’t socialize with my friends. Hard-working students are influenced by their family culture, and perhaps the students around them are motivated to work because of their fear of losing their lives. Lazy students, on the other hand, are afraid of not being able to realize their dreams or falling behind their friends, even if they remain lazy for a while. So how can a person find himself in this situation?

Competition in early stages

I like to sit at the cafe in the morning, look at my computer and read a book. I am the first customer of some cafes. I encountered parents who wanted to send their children to a tennis club during a distinguished holiday destination. After meeting, I discovered that the child’s friends in his early years were drawn to different fields such as ballet, swimming, dance and tennis. So, in this conjuncture, did the child want to do these activities or want a little sociality and peace?

Competition with other parents

Parents who state they care about their children are in competition with other parents. Nowadays, parent meetings are the scene of serious competition. On the one hand, while parents ignore their children’s flaws and strive for perfection, they do not examine potential emotional vulnerabilities and behavioral psychology too much.

Do we sustain our ability ?

Sustainability. What a popular concept. Climate crisis, jealousy and racism have come to the fore in the world. But above all, if a person cannot breathe or provide food, he will not be able to survive. Competition is a human nature. Of course, humans, like other living species, will want to keep competition high to have more status. Well, goodness. What happened to our hearts? Are animals so worthless? Is climate a privilege that only high society can have? Can a person live without breathing? Children. What kind of future will we leave to our children? Human life is limited anyway, so how will future generations evaluate us? With wars or corruption? We will continue asking “What is this?” in future blogs. Hope to see you in a better tomorrow.

On this platform, we discuss the underlying philosophy behind education. Why do individuals refuse to behave ethically in daily life, and how do individuals build their own motives to educate themselves emotionally and analytically?
